Jane Clarke at Leyton Stories
After studying archaeology Jane married and moved from London, Mexico, Brazil and the United States.
Coming to rest in South Wales Jane worked there as an archaeology lecturer and history teacher.
Relocating to Belgium and finding a part time job as a library assistant at Antwerp International School was her spur to write.
'My poems always start off in handwriting, but I write stories on my computer. I make loads of mistakes, and do lots of re-writing.
My ideas come from my family and pets, my friends and their families, and from school. I often lose all track of time when I’m writing.
Amber and Bramble have learned to bring me their leads, to remind me to take them out for a walk'.
